4 I dont get the bad reviews. We arrived 22:30 and received two great pizzas and some drinks for a good price. It's not a high class Restaurant but delivered more than expected. Thank you :)
4 Porta Smeralda offers a pleasant dining experience characterized by its lovely seaside location and inviting atmosphere. Atmosphere and Ambiance: The restaurant enjoys the advantage of a stunning sea view, enhancing the overall ambiance. The environment is inviting, allowing for a relaxed and enjoyable time. Service: The staff is attentive and provides good service, contributing to a smooth dining experience. Food Quality: The cuisine ranges from average to above average. While it doesn’t necessarily dazzle the palate, it meets expectations for a satisfying meal. Overall: Porta Smeralda delivers a good, though not exceptional, dining experience. Its strengths lie in its scenic location and service quality, which somewhat compensate for the lack of culinary flair.
5 We were driving past and saw this great place. We had the cheese and ham toasties, then we had the pizzas. One morning they didn't have any cheese and ham toasties so we were just going to have coffee. However the lovely waitress (longish dark curly hair) went off and came back to tell us they could make toasties for us. Great service and the food and drinks are great and all reasonably priced.
4 I’ve rated this place with 4 stars based on location and the fact that it’s convenient if you need to stop for a quick bite or dine in. We wanted to grab a pizza on our way back to the airport. Pizza was not available after 2pm so we had pasta. However this was the only restaurant in the area open at that time.
4 We had both breakfast, aperitif and later dinner there. The coffee is really good, so is the fresh pastry. They gave us a plate full of artichoke filled mini sandwiches as a snack for the aperitif and it was enough food for us that we skipped lunch The staff is very friendly and service is really good at the bar. The staff at the restaurant is very friendly too, but the coordination between the kitchen and the pizza counter is not the best. The food from the kitchen was delivered long before my pizza was ready. The pizza was definitely worth the waiting though! The dough is slightly thicker than usual, which I personally prefer because it holds all the toppings without making a mess, the crust was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, just the way I like it. It tasted really good! The place is reasonably priced for the area. We'll definitely go back!
5 At the time when visited few people 16.00. Fast service, reasonable pricing.
5 Perfect for having dinner when you arrive by plane or ferry in the evening and also for a take away pizza if you are on your way to the ferry. Very good value for the prize and nice waitresses.
People often come for their delicious pizzas, fresh pasta, and tasty toasties, all complemented by a great selection of wine and beer.
It suits both—a convenient spot for a quick snack or a relaxed sit-down meal with a lovely seaside view.
The restaurant is popular for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and it's one of the few options open later in the afternoon near the airport area.
Yes, the place is family friendly with a kids’ menu and high chairs, plus it welcomes groups and caters to various dietary preferences.
